Portobello West fashion and art market

The Portobello West Graduate Award will provide one outstanding fashion student with the means to get their line ready to launch. They will receive over $15,000 in prizes, including one year at Portobello West fashion and art market, 1 Year SYKA Membership as well as $250 worth of SYKA Fabric, a website, a professional photo shoot with Colektiv Images, 5 months of PR support from the Honey Mustard fashion and media services, a Fashion High membership, a full page ad in the Block Magazine and consignment for Spring 2009 at The Barefoot Contessa.

The award is open to all fashion students currently enrolled in a BC fashion program or who have graduated after June 30th 2007. The deadline for submissions is June 30th and the winner will be announced at Portobello West on August 31st, 2008.

Runner-up: Ora by Randi Obenauer from Helen Lefeaux

Portobello West is open from March to December from 12pm to 6pm on the Last Sunday of every month* at the Rocky Mountaineer Station. $2 Admission (children 12 and under get in free).
*except for: March 29th and 30th, 2008 (the last weekend of the month) ; December 13th and 14th, 2008 (two weekends before Xmas).
